Today sees the release of a good practice document entitled: Safer Crowds, Safer Spaces: Good Practice for Crowd Management in UK Performance and Licensed Spaces. The document has been released by the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) in collaboration with UKCMA (The United Kingdom Crowd Management Association) and Live!

In recent times there have been several high-profile incidents that have resulted in loss of life or serious injury due to failings with operational crowd management. The purpose of the document is to assist venue operators, organisers, and stakeholders with an outline of accepted good practice for crowd management in performance spaces and licensed spaces in the UK.

Launching the guide, Michael Kill CEO NTIA said “We are extremely pleased to be able to be part of the collaborative effort spearheaded by the UKCMA, NTIA, and LIVE in launching the pivotal good practice for Crowd Management in Performance and Licensed Spaces on Safer Crowds, Safer Venues. This isn't just about raising the bar in crowd management; it's about extending a lifeline to businesses that may not have naturally considered crowd management as a priority.”
